Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking an Interim Emergency Department Assistant Nurse Manager for a W2 Contract position based in Harbor City, California.


Schedule: Full-time, Night Shift, 11:30pm – 8:00am. Please note that start and end times may vary during orientation.

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending

Location: Harbor City, California

Compensation:

Weekly Compensation (All-In): $4,480 - $4,939

This range includes a combination of taxable W2 wages and, where eligible, non-taxable per diems (lodging and meals). Per diem eligibility requires a primary residence more than 50 miles from the facility. Final compensation will be based on experience, education, and location.

Summary:


Supports the operational, clinical, and administrative functions of a busy Emergency Department while assisting leadership in maintaining high-quality patient care, staff accountability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Serves as a key leadership presence on the night shift, ensuring adherence to established policies, supporting staff performance, addressing patient concerns, and maintaining effective departmental operations.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can function as a charge nurse presence when needed, support critical care operations, assist with clinical documentation, and reinforce existing processes and standards while fostering a safe and efficient care environment.


Essential Functions:


Provides leadership oversight for day-to-day Emergency Department operations during assigned shifts.

Ensures compliance with departmental policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.

Serves as the primary point of contact for operational issues, staff concerns, and patient escalations during the shift.

Addresses and resolves patient complaints and service recovery opportunities in a timely and professional manner.

Monitors staffing activities and ensures staff members take required meal and rest breaks in accordance with organizational policy and regulatory requirements.

Conducts routine departmental rounding with a strong emphasis on workplace safety, patient safety, and staff support.

Supports Emergency Department documentation and chart review activities as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Provides leadership support to critical care areas and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate patient throughput and quality care delivery.

Functions as a charge nurse or leadership resource during high-volume periods, staffing shortages, or operational challenges.

Assists with workflow management, patient flow initiatives, and resource allocation to support efficient department operations.

Promotes adherence to established workflows, policies, and operational processes rather than developing new programs or initiatives.

Supports quality improvement efforts, patient satisfaction initiatives, and performance improvement activities.

Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, ancillary departments, and hospital leadership to ensure coordinated patient care and effective communication.

Maintains a visible leadership presence and serves as a resource to staff throughout the shift.


Qualifications:


Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field required.

Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

Current BLS certification required.

Current ACLS certification required.

Minimum of 3–4 years of recent clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department or closely related acute care setting required.

Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience required, including charge nurse, assistant manager, supervisor, or management responsibilities.

Demonstrated experience supporting Emergency Department operations, patient throughput, and staff oversight required.

Strong knowledge of emergency nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and patient safety practices.

Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively manage patient concerns, staff issues, and operational challenges in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.

Experience supporting critical care patient populations and high-acuity clinical settings preferred.

Demonstrated ability to lead by example, maintain accountability, and support operational excellence during off-shift hours.

Summary:


HCEPInc is seeking a skilled Locum Tenens Urology Physician to support an established and growing urology program in Kansas. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of clinic and operating room responsibilities while working alongside an experienced team of urology providers in a collaborative practice environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience performing robotic-assisted urology procedures, preferably utilizing the da Vinci Xi Surgical System. Experience with pelvic floor reconstruction is highly desired. The facility is open to reviewing candidates with varying levels of procedural experience and may consider multiple providers to support ongoing coverage needs.


Essential Functions:


Provide comprehensive urology care in both clinic and surgical settings

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of urologic conditions

Perform surgical procedures and participate in operating room coverage

Manage approximately 25-30 clinic patients per clinic day

Perform approximately 5-6 surgical cases per operating room day

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure quality patient care

Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and procedural outcomes accurately and timely

Maintain compliance with facility policies, medical staff bylaws, and applicable regulatory requirements

Participate in care planning and treatment discussions to support positive patient outcomes

Support continuity of care within an established and highly collaborative urology program


Practice Setting:


Established urology practice with both clinic and operating room responsibilities

Typical schedule consists of approximately three clinic days and two operating room days per week

Clinic conveniently located near the hospital campus

Supported by a team of experienced full-time urology providers

Facility may consider flexible scheduling arrangements for providers seeking less than full-time availability

Qualifications:


Board Eligible in Urology required

Board Certified in Urology preferred

Active medical license or ability to obtain licensure required

Experience practicing in both clinic and operating room settings required

Robotic surgery experience preferred

Experience with the da Vinci Xi Surgical System preferred

Pelvic floor reconstruction experience highly preferred

Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills required

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative multidisciplinary practice environment

Summary:

Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage at a 25‑bed critical‑access hospital about an hour from Kansas City. Physicians enjoy flexible schedules and quick privileging, making this ideal for short‑term or bridge assignments.

Responsibilities:

Manage approximately 16 adult inpatients per day (a mix of admissions, rounding and discharges).
Work 6 a.m.–6 p.m. day shifts with 6 p.m.–6 a.m. call for consults; mid‑level providers cover admissions overnight, so callbacks are rare.
Provide vent management and coordinate care with specialists; no procedures or codes are required.

Compensation & Arrangements:

Market‑competitive hourly rate for Kansas locums; adjust rates once client figures are available.
1099 independent contractor with weekly direct deposit.
All travel and lodging covered; malpractice insurance provided.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in a high-volume clinical laboratory required

Minimum of 5 years of supervisory and management experience required

Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in service specialty areas such as Specimen Management, Computer Support, or related laboratory operations required

Certification in service specialty areas such as Telecommunications, CNA, CNE, or Client Services preferred

Valid current Maryland Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license required

Summary:

Provides in-depth clinical expertise in a defined area of nursing practice (eg., pediatrics, oncology, adult medicine). Qualifications:

Weekly Compensation (All-In): $4,538 – $5,034

Summary:


The Interim Assistant Nurse Manager – Outpatient Services is responsible for supporting the daily operations of ambulatory clinic functions, with a focus on patient access, scheduling, and care coordination. This role partners closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient workflows, high-quality patient care, and a positive patient experience. The Interim Assistant Nurse Manager will help lead staff, support process improvements, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.


Essential Functions:


Support daily operations of outpatient/ambulatory services, including scheduling and patient care coordination.

Supervise and provide guidance to clinical and administrative staff, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.

Assist in managing staffing, workflows, and resource allocation to support patient access and throughput.

Monitor team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and support ongoing staff development.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Partner with leadership to implement process improvements and enhance operational efficiency

Address and resolve escalated patient or operational issues in a timely manner.

Collaborate cross-functionally with providers, leadership, and support teams to ensure seamless care delivery.

Promote a positive, collaborative work environment that supports team engagement and performance.

Support performance management processes, including evaluations and corrective actions as needed.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or healthcare-related field required; Master's degree preferred

Oregon RN license required.

BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Minimum of 3–4 years of relevant clinical nursing experience in an outpatient or related setting.

At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience required.

Strong understanding of ambulatory operations, patient access, and care coordination required.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage workflows, and drive process improvements required.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.
