Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: Topeka, KS

Start Date: August 2, 2026
End Date: November 1, 2026
Compensation & Travel
  • Pay Rate: $340-$387/hour
  • Fully covered housing, coordinated on your behalf

  • Round-trip airfare home every other week
  • Travel and accommodations are arranged and covered throughout the assignment

Summary:

HCEPInc is seeking a Urology Physician to support a well-established urology program. This opportunity offers a blend of clinic and surgical responsibilities, working alongside a collaborative team in a busy practice setting.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both clinic and operating room environments and be comfortable managing a broad range of urologic conditions and procedures. Providers with robotic surgery experience and pelvic floor reconstruction experience are highly desired.

Essential Functions:

Provide comprehensive urology care in both outpatient clinic and surgical settings.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with urologic conditions.
Perform surgical procedures and provide perioperative management.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure high-quality patient care.
Document patient encounters accurately and timely within Epic EMR.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility policies and standards.
Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.

Practice Setting:

Established Urology Program
Clinic and Operating Room Responsibilities
Approximately 3 Clinic Days and 2 OR Days Per Week
Clinic Located Near Hospital Campus

Patient Volume:

Clinic: 25-30 patients per day
Operating Room: 5-6 surgical cases per day

Qualifications:

Board Eligible in Urology required.
Board Certified in Urology preferred.
Active state medical license or ability to obtain licensure.
Experience practicing in both clinic and surgical settings required.
Robotic surgery experience preferred.
Experience with the da Vinci Xi Surgical System preferred.
Pelvic floor reconstruction experience highly desired.
Strong communication, collaboration, and patient care skills required.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Schedule: 5x8s, Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm, with call coverage responsibilities
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $145.00 - $158.00 per hour

Summary:
HCEPInc is seeking experienced Advanced Practice Providers to support a growing Cardiothoracic Surgery program in Topeka, Kansas. This inpatient opportunity offers a collaborative surgical environment supporting heart, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients.
The facility is seeking two APPs to provide surgical support and share every-other-week call coverage responsibilities. Candidates with Cardiothoracic Surgery experience and Endovascular Vein Harvest (EVH) experience will be highly competitive.

Essential Functions:

Provide inpatient Cardiothoracic Surgery APP coverage for heart, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients.
Perform patient evaluations, assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing management of surgical patients.
Provide perioperative and postoperative patient care in collaboration with surgeons and interdisciplinary care teams.
Participate in inpatient floor coverage and management of assigned patient populations.
Support surgical workflows and assist with Cardiothoracic Surgery service line operations.
Provide Endovascular Vein Harvest (EVH) support when applicable.
Document patient encounters accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies and standards.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure continuity of care and positive patient outcomes.
Participate in call coverage and respond to patient care needs as required.
Call Responsibilities:
EVH call coverage
Inpatient floor call coverage
Weekend call begins Friday at 5:00pm and continues through Monday at 7:00am
Two APPs will share every-other-week call responsibilities
Patient Population:
Heart surgery patients
Vascular surgery patients
Thoracic surgery patients
Average daily volume of 1-10 patient encounters per shift

Support Staff:

2 APRNs currently on staff
Collaborative multidisciplinary surgical team

Qualifications:

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) required.
Active state license and applicable certifications required.
Cardiothoracic Surgery experience preferred.
Endovascular Vein Harvest (EVH) experience strongly preferred.
Experience managing inpatient surgical patient populations preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and patient care skills required.
Willingness to teach and mentor APPs on EVH techniques highly desired.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient surgical environment.

Locum Hospitalist – Critical‑Access Hospital

Job Description:

Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is actively seeking a Locum Hospitalist - Critical Access Hospital based in Kansas.


Summary:

Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage at a 25‑bed critical‑access hospital about an hour from Kansas City. Physicians enjoy flexible schedules and quick privileging, making this ideal for short‑term or bridge assignments.

Responsibilities:

Manage approximately 16 adult inpatients per day (a mix of admissions, rounding and discharges).
Work 6 a.m.–6 p.m. day shifts with 6 p.m.–6 a.m. call for consults; mid‑level providers cover admissions overnight, so callbacks are rare.
Provide vent management and coordinate care with specialists; no procedures or codes are required.

Compensation & Arrangements:

Market‑competitive hourly rate for Kansas locums; adjust rates once client figures are available.
1099 independent contractor with weekly direct deposit.
All travel and lodging covered; malpractice insurance provided.
Rapid privileging (within two days) and assistance obtaining or reinstating a Kansas medical license.

Qualifications:

Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Active Kansas license or ability to secure one quickly.
Comfortable managing a 16‑patient load and collaborating with NPs/PAs.
