Summary:
The Interim Assistant Nurse Manager, After Hours Hospice Clinical Support provides operational and clinical leadership for the after-hours hospice call center, ensuring timely, compassionate, and high-quality telephonic support for hospice patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary care teams. This leader partners with the Nurse Manager to oversee daily call center operations, support nursing staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote evidence-based clinical practice. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, staffing coordination, quality outcomes, and exceptional member experiences while supporting the organization's commitment to integrated, patient-centered hospice care.
Essential Functions:
Assist in the daily operations of the After Hours Hospice Call Center, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care delivery.
Provide leadership, coaching, and clinical support to hospice call center nurses and other assigned staff.
Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient situations, symptom management, triage, and end-of-life care decisions.
Ensure accurate assessment, documentation, and disposition of patient calls in accordance with organizational policies, hospice regulations, and evidence-based practice.
Support performance management through staff coaching, competency development, performance evaluations, and ongoing education.
Collaborate with hospice field clinicians, physicians, pharmacies, home health teams, and other interdisciplinary partners to coordinate seamless patient care.
Monitor quality metrics, patient satisfaction, documentation standards, and regulatory compliance; participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Assist with staffing schedules, productivity monitoring, and operational planning to ensure appropriate coverage during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Promote a culture of patient safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Utilize multiple technology platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and electronic health records, to support communication, documentation, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Participate in departmental meetings, leadership initiatives, and organizational projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
BSN or BA in health care related field required. Masters preferred.
Current California RN license required.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Hospice clinical nursing experience including 2 years leadership experience required.
Experience working with MS Office, Excel and MS Teams required.
Call Center/Telehealth experience preferred.
Experience with EPIC charting preferred.

Summary:
The Clinical Trials Nurse I (CTN-1) is a novice level position which, under the guidance and supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and clinical trials administrative management, assists in ensuring that the integrity and quality of the clinical trial (s) are maintained and conducted in accordance with federal, state and local regulations, Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals, and the organizations policies and procedures. Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking an Interim Nurse Manager, L&D / Postpartum for a W2 Contract position based in Anaheim, California.
Schedule: 5x8, 3pm -11:30pm
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending
Location: Anaheim, CA
Weekly compensation: Between $4,827 – $5,381 (all-in), with flexibility in how the package is structured based on candidate needs. Compensation may include a combination of taxable wages, per diems (if eligible), and reimbursements.

Summary:
Manages 24-hour departments providing patient care services. Ensures staff provide high quality, accessible, cost effective care, and patient focused services to members across the continuum, which comply with local, state, and federal requirements. Develops and maintains clinical standards of care and practice; responsible for all resource budgeting, selection and development.
Essential Functions:
Manages the operations of 24-hour departments that may be at multiple locations. Ensures Assistants and staff provide the highest quality of care and are in compliance with the Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local requirements.
Establishes, implements, and maintains patient care and service standards to meet members and internal clients expectations.
Designs and evaluates processes to improve systems and patient care results across the continuum of care.
Develops and monitors budgets for the appropriate use of human and material resources.
Monitors financial performance and identifies and implements strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care/service.
Determines the appropriate staff mix for department and develops processes to screen, interview, hire, train, and maintain the competency of all department staff. Ensures on going staff development.
Develops, implements, and monitors departmental policy and procedures which support the organizations goals and business objectives and ensures they are met.
Oversees and develops standards of care and standards of practice, directs fiscal management, and quality improvement activities.
Manages and resolves human resource, employee and department safety, and risk management issues.
Qualifications:
BSN or BA in health care related field strongly preferred. Masters degree preferred.
Current California RN license required.
CPR certificate required.
Extensive nursing experience in both patient care and management/leadership roles required (around 5 years).
Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, federal regulations.
Previous supervisory experience required (around 4 years).
Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsible for clinical education and training programs to meet the learning and developmental needs of the clinical staff. Designs, implements, and evaluates strategies to maintain clinical competency of care providers.
Essential Functions:
Designs, implements, and evaluates programs that meet learning and competency development needs of clinical staff.
Responds quickly to corporate changes in clinical practice and provides training required.
Insures compliance and documentation of educational programs based on regulatory agency standards.
Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates effectiveness of orientation/training/cross-training programs that are based on an assessment of individual skills and evaluated by clinical competency outcome criteria.
Collaborates with leadership to improve quality and efficiency throughout the continuum of clinical care.
Conducts research into professional and community practice standards, technology, and clinical innovations for improved service within assigned care area.
Makes recommendations for cost/quality strategies; works within budget.
Communicates and markets educational programs to broad target audience using appropriate methods.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in nursing education required. Masters degree strongly preferred.
Current California RN license required.
One of the following certifications is required - RNC-OB, RNC-MNN or C-EFM.
Minimum 2 years of L&D and Postpartum clinical educator experience. Previous teaching experience required.
CPR instructor preferred. Adult learning knowledge required.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and group facilitator process skills.
Must possess a thorough knowledge of the California Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, Title 22, QA, BRN regulations.
