Summary:


The Interim Assistant Nurse Manager, After Hours Hospice Clinical Support provides operational and clinical leadership for the after-hours hospice call center, ensuring timely, compassionate, and high-quality telephonic support for hospice patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary care teams. This leader partners with the Nurse Manager to oversee daily call center operations, support nursing staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote evidence-based clinical practice. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, staffing coordination, quality outcomes, and exceptional member experiences while supporting the organization's commitment to integrated, patient-centered hospice care.


Essential Functions:


Assist in the daily operations of the After Hours Hospice Call Center, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care delivery.

Provide leadership, coaching, and clinical support to hospice call center nurses and other assigned staff.

Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient situations, symptom management, triage, and end-of-life care decisions.

Ensure accurate assessment, documentation, and disposition of patient calls in accordance with organizational policies, hospice regulations, and evidence-based practice.

Support performance management through staff coaching, competency development, performance evaluations, and ongoing education.

Collaborate with hospice field clinicians, physicians, pharmacies, home health teams, and other interdisciplinary partners to coordinate seamless patient care.

Monitor quality metrics, patient satisfaction, documentation standards, and regulatory compliance; participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Assist with staffing schedules, productivity monitoring, and operational planning to ensure appropriate coverage during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Promote a culture of patient safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Utilize multiple technology platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and electronic health records, to support communication, documentation, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Participate in departmental meetings, leadership initiatives, and organizational projects as assigned.


Qualifications:


BSN or BA in health care related field required. Masters preferred.

Current California RN license required.

Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Hospice clinical nursing experience including 2 years leadership experience required.

Experience working with MS Office, Excel and MS Teams required.

Call Center/Telehealth experience preferred.

Experience with EPIC charting preferred.

Summary:

HCEPInc is seeking a Locum OB/GYN Physician to join an established women's health program in Topeka, Kansas. This opportunity is available due to a provider resignation and offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient care, surgical procedures, and shared call coverage within a collaborative practice environment.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a full spectrum of general OB/GYN services and working alongside experienced clinical support staff.

Essential Functions:

Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in both outpatient clinic and inpatient settings.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the full spectrum of women's health services.
Perform general OB/GYN procedures, including D&C, laparoscopy, cesarean sections, and other routine gynecologic surgeries.
Provide labor and delivery coverage, inpatient rounding, consultations, and postoperative care.
Document patient encounters accurately and timely within Epic EMR.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to deliver high-quality patient care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility policies and standards.

Schedule & Call:

Full-time coverage (may be staffed by one or two providers).
Approximately 2–3 clinic days per week.
Remaining schedule includes call coverage and post-call responsibilities.
Post-call days may include clinic responsibilities or operating room time during the morning.
Shared 1:6 call rotation.

Clinic calls are initially screened through Health Connections.

Patient Volume:

Clinic: Approximately 25–30 patients per day.

Additional clinical support available within the care pod as needed.

Qualifications:

Schedule: Combination of clinic, OR, rounding, and call coverage

Summary:

HCEPInc is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to support an established Cardiovascular Service Line in Topeka, Kansas. This opportunity is available due to the retirement of a current surgeon and offers the ability to join a collaborative, high-performing cardiac surgery program with strong APP, CVICU, OR, and perfusion support.

The ideal candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon with current experience performing adult cardiac surgery, valve procedures, and complex cardiovascular interventions. Providers with TAVR, TCAR, vascular, and thoracic surgery experience are highly desired.

Essential Functions:

Provide comprehensive Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Perform consultations, evaluations, surgical procedures, and postoperative management.
Participate in clinic, operating room, rounding, and call responsibilities.
Collaborate with APPs, CVICU staff, perfusionists, nursing teams, and ancillary departments to deliver high-quality patient care.
Manage adult cardiac surgery patients throughout the continuum of care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility standards and policies.
Document patient encounters and procedural activities accurately and timely.

Coverage Requirements:

Minimum commitment of six (6) months.
Approximately two weeks of weekday call coverage per month.

Summary:


The Clinical Trials Nurse I (CTN-1) is a novice level position which, under the guidance and supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and clinical trials administrative management, assists in ensuring that the integrity and quality of the clinical trial (s) are maintained and conducted in accordance with federal, state and local regulations, Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals, and the organizations policies and procedures. Qualifications:


Minimum of a diploma from an accredited nursing school required.

Summary:

HCEPInc is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to support an established Cardiovascular Service Line in Topeka, Kansas. This opportunity is available due to the retirement of a current surgeon and offers the ability to join a collaborative, high-performing cardiac surgery program with strong APP, CVICU, OR, and perfusion support.

The ideal candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon with current experience performing adult cardiac surgery, valve procedures, and complex cardiovascular interventions. Providers with TAVR, TCAR, vascular, and thoracic surgery experience are highly desired.

Essential Functions:

Provide comprehensive Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Perform consultations, evaluations, surgical procedures, and postoperative management.
Participate in clinic, operating room, rounding, and call responsibilities.
Collaborate with APPs, CVICU staff, perfusionists, nursing teams, and ancillary departments to deliver high-quality patient care.
Manage adult cardiac surgery patients throughout the continuum of care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility standards and policies.
Document patient encounters and procedural activities accurately and timely.

Coverage Requirements:

Minimum commitment of six (6) months.
Approximately two weeks of weekday call coverage per month.
One weekend of call coverage per month.

Schedule: 8:30am - 5:00pm, with weekday and weekend call responsibilities
Assignment Duration: November 1, 2026 - January 31, 2027, with ongoing coverage potential

Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $325.00 - $425.00 per hour
Compensation will be based on experience, availability, and assignment requirements.

Summary:

HCEPInc is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician to support an established GI program at Stormont Vail Health. This opportunity includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities within a collaborative practice environment supported by dedicated Advanced Practice Providers.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing a variety of GI procedures, managing consults, and participating in a shared call rotation. Providers with Advanced GI training are encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions:

Provide comprehensive Gastroenterology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
Perform endoscopic and other GI procedures as appropriate.
Manage inpatient consultations and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
Document patient encounters accurately and timely in accordance with facility standards.
Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure quality patient care.
Participate in call coverage and support continuity of care for GI patients.

Practice Setting:

Established Gastroenterology Program
Inpatient and Outpatient Coverage
Epic EMR
Supported by 2 dedicated GI APRNs

Patient Volume:

Procedures: Average 8 procedures per day
Consults: Average 7 consults per day

Call Responsibilities:

Shared weekday call coverage
Shared weekend call coverage
Preference for providers able to commit to extended coverage blocks

Qualifications:

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology required.
Active medical license or ability to obtain licensure required.
Experience in both inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology settings preferred.
Advanced GI training preferred but not required.
Strong procedural, diagnostic, and patient management skills required.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills required.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

HCEPInc is seeking a Urology Physician to support a well-established urology program. This opportunity offers a blend of clinic and surgical responsibilities, working alongside a collaborative team in a busy practice setting.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both clinic and operating room environments and be comfortable managing a broad range of urologic conditions and procedures. Providers with robotic surgery experience and pelvic floor reconstruction experience are highly desired.

Essential Functions:

Provide comprehensive urology care in both outpatient clinic and surgical settings.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with urologic conditions.
Perform surgical procedures and provide perioperative management.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure high-quality patient care.
Document patient encounters accurately and timely within Epic EMR.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility policies and standards.
Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.

Practice Setting:

Established Urology Program
Clinic and Operating Room Responsibilities
Approximately 3 Clinic Days and 2 OR Days Per Week
Clinic Located Near Hospital Campus

Patient Volume:

Clinic: 25-30 patients per day
Operating Room: 5-6 surgical cases per day

Qualifications:

Board Eligible in Urology required.
Board Certified in Urology preferred.
Active state medical license or ability to obtain licensure.
Experience practicing in both clinic and surgical settings required.
Robotic surgery experience preferred.
Experience with the da Vinci Xi Surgical System preferred.
Pelvic floor reconstruction experience highly desired.
Strong communication, collaboration, and patient care skills required.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
